| Further Information: Probably the most colourful weevil in the Maltese islands, with a striking mosaic pattern of red, green and black. A medium sized weevil 4.0-6.0 mm long and as the epithet suggest, it is found growing on tamarisk trees. Specimen was photographed at Xlendi, Gozo (Maltese islands). |
